Treaty Land Acknowledgement

The Edmonton Queer Youth Club is located in ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwacîwâskahikan) (Beaver Hill House) on Treaty 6 Territory, home, traditional meeting ground, gathering place, and travelling route of the Nêhiyawak (Cree), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux. We stand with those who have suffered at the hands of colonization, which continues today, and we are committed to actively working towards reconciliation and the restoration of land rights.
